Break into teams to create your very own fairy tale by looking at history’s famous stories like the Legend of King Arthur, the Riddle of the Sphinx, the Ant and the Grasshopper and many more. Campers will be designing their own fantasy creatures and bringing them to life by drawing, painting, and then eventually creating it out of colored modeling clay.  Campers will on on quests delving into ancient labyrinths and solve the riddles within to find treasure that will help them on their journey. They will participate in a Socratic seminar (or round table discussion) where they will take on the role of a famous fairy tale, fable, or story and debate the points of view and similarities of their stories. They will also compare the Disney version of their story to the original Grimms fairy tale and debate what the real end of their story should be.  Dylan Sievert will be leading this camp. He is a teacher in the Tempe Elementary School District and has a B.A. in Elementary Education from A.S.U.
