Full S.T.E.A.M. ahead to the Land of Fairytales! S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Campers will have fun exploring various fairytales as the theme for hands-on S.T.E.A.M. activities that encourage creative play, spark imagination, and enhance problem-solving skills. Activities will include building a new bed for Goldilocks, testing towers and bridges, and working on other S.T.E.A.M. projects to rescue fairytale characters; creating art projects and retelling stories through play; and finding solutions to “What if” questions related to the fairytales we explore. All of this will take place in a fun, cooperative learning environment. Nancy Smith and Jeanne Foster, former second-grade teachers from Laguna Elementary in S.U.S.D., are the lead engineers, scientists, and artists for this enjoyable camp!
