You’ve seen them on TV, those cupcake shows where chefs bake amazing looking themed cupcakes that are then judged by other chefs. How would you like to try that out for yourselves, without the pressure of cranky judges? Join cupcake bakers extraordinaire, Shannon Hill and Jen Ekstrom, as they help you create delicious and amazing, tasty and beautiful cupcakes. The first week we will plan and build the back drop for the competition in the next week. The following weeks, campers will face a new themed challenge and will work in groups of competing bakers. We’ll spend three days on cupcake basics, measuring, mixing, baking, frosting, and even learn to creatively display our masterpieces. We will then finish the week with a baking battle judged by staff and campers. May the best cupcake win! Session II will be an abbreviated version of session I.
While making is marvelous, eating is the experience we enjoy, and the budding chefs will not only be able to eat what they make, they’ll take a cupcake home. Yum! It’s the tastiest camp this summer!
